Recycling Cell Phones and Printer Cartridges
Students at Northmor Schools are learning a valuable lesson about recycling while earning free technology equipment. They are participating in an empty laser and inkjet cartridge and cellular telephone recycling program through the FundingFactory.

FundingFactory encourages organizations to collect empty laser and inkjet cartridges and cellular telephones from their community. Empty cartridges and cell phones earn points, which are exchanged for over 10000 educational technology and recreation products. For the community's convenience, drop-off sites have been set up at: each school's computer lab.

Funding Factory currently has over 17,000 participating schools, childcare centers, libraries, and nonprofit organizations that are supported by 60,000 businesses, including banks, insurance agencies, hospitals, office supply stores, grocery stores, etc. Local companies interested in demonstrating their commitment to education and the environment can participate in the FundingFactory Business Support Program. By adopting Northmor Schools local businesses pledge their empty laser and inkjet cartridges and cell phones. There is never a cost involved in participating, and free, prepaid shipping boxes are provided for the return of collected cartridges and cell phones.

This program is part of www.FundingFactory.com. The mission of the FundingFactory is to enhance educational opportunities for students. Through an integrated online suite of safe, free, and effective fundraising programs, FundingFactory will meet its yearly goal of $100 million in new products for nationwide organizations.

For more information, call any Northmor school, visit www.FundingFactory.com or call the Funding Factory toll-free, 1.888.883.8237.

Northmor’s Website Compatibility Issues
This website is created with Joomla! and may not be viewable with older computers and internet browsers. Older computers and browsers that are not able to be updated cannot handle the website technology that is available in the 21st century.
With the new site there has been some issues that some of the pull-down menus actually go up. Again this an old technology problem, but this time with monitors. You need to make sure that your monitor resolution is set to the highest/clearest setting. On Windows computers, right click on the desktop and click Properties then click Settings. If this makes your icons too small to see, right click on the desktop and click Properties then click on the Appearance Tab and click Effects to select large icons. In the appearance tab you can also select large fonts in the pull-down menu. To make your Mouse pointer larger you will need to go to the Start Menu - Control Panels - Mouse
Some problems may also be caused with not updating your operating system.  This is very important to do. Updates are what help keep viruses away. If you have your computer set to automatically update, you may still be asked to install updates by clicking the Yellow shield icon by your clock in the bottom right corner of your screen. You can also visit http://www.update.microsoft.com to check for updates.
