  • This Week In Sports

This year’s ‘This Week in Sports’ updates will be especially critical in staying up to date with any schedule changes that may occur.
  • Football & Basketball Fundraiser

The basketball and football programs have teamed up to create a unique fundraiser given the unique football season beginning in a couple of weeks. Fill out this form if you are interested in participating.. We had to be creative to supplement financial loss as we will not be having concessions this fall and the football team will be unable to host their annual pie auction. One entry and you are in for the entire season, you do not have to be present to win, and you can win multiple times in a season or even a game!  The prize is cash and one win guarantees at least your money back. The flyer is lengthy but all of the details should be there!
Ask questions in the comments and I will answer them! 419-946-3946.
Thank you for your continued and constant support of our programs. Go knights!

  • Fall Sport Registration and FinalForms for the 2020-21 School Year

Attention Parents and Athletes Entering grades 7-12 for the 2020-21 School Year:

Due to COVID 19, we have not been able to hold sign-up meetings as we usually do for fall sports. As a result, we are asking that students email their respective coaches to notify them of their intent to play. The following are the coaches to contact for each sport:

Football, grades 7-12 contact Coach Scott Armrose: [email protected]

Volleyball, grades 9-12  contact Josh Lehman: [email protected]

Volleyball, grade 7 contact Jeff Moore: [email protected]

Volleyball, grade 8 contact Tami Burgess: [email protected]

Boys Cross Country, grades 9-12 contact  Kevin Ruhl: [email protected]

Girls Cross Country, grades 9-12 contact Mark Yaussy: [email protected]

Boys and Girls Cross Country, grades 7-8 contact Andrew Shaffer: [email protected]

Golf, grades 9-12, contact Mark Wiseman: [email protected]

High School Cheer contact Megan Hammond: [email protected]

Junior High Cheer contact Sarah Gibson: [email protected]

In addition to contacting your coach, please also complete FinalForms for the 2020-21 school year. Parents and students will simply need to verify information from the previous year and only change what is needed, and then sign off on the forms at the bottom of each page. Please make sure to register your child for all sports you think they will participate in for the 2020-21 school year.

Finally, Morrow County hospital has postponed their annual free sports physicals. They have not yet set an alternative date. When that information is released we will send out that information as soon as possible. Students can also get their sports physicals done at their family physician or at urgent care. When you get your physical, please print the form from FinalForms and take it to the physical appointment with you. After the physical, turn the completed form into your coach or the Athletic Director.

Again, thank you for your patience as we continue to navigate the uncharted waters that COVID 19 has created. Any updated information will be communicated as it is received. Thank you and GO GOLDEN KNIGHTS!

  • Board Approves Facilities Upgrade

After several years of dialogue regarding the safety, condition, and overall appearance of our outdoor athletic complex, the Northmor Board of Education, Superintendent, and Treasurer are moving forward with the renovation, building, and updating of these facilities.

These upgrades are possible due to the sound fiscal management by the Northmor administration and BOE.  With over 6 million dollars projected in savings at the end of this school year, the BOE has decided to earmark 2.7 million dollars of this money to upgrade the site improvements as detailed on the campus map.  There will be NO NEW TAXES to the Northmor taxpayers to provide funds for these improvements as the money is already in the savings account to pay for the upgrades!  The BOE has decided rather than pay for the entire project from the savings account the District will enter into a lease purchase agreement for the funds and pay for this project over the next ten years with the money that is currently in the savings account earmarked for the project to cover the annual installment payments.

The BOE and District administration feel that these improvements are long overdue and will greatly enhance the campus and educational atmosphere here at Northmor Local School District for many, many years to come.  They will provide the latest and most up-to-date facilities for our students, staff, and community.  Our community deserves the best and we are more than happy to be able to provide this wonderful opportunity with NO ADDITIONAL cost to our constituents.

    Go, Golden Knights!
