Recycling Printer Cartridges
Students at Northmor Schools are learning a valuable lesson about recycling while earning free technology equipment. They are participating in an empty laser and inkjet cartridge recycling program through the FundingFactory.
FundingFactory encourages organizations to collect empty laser and inkjet cartridges from their community. Empty cartridges earn points, which are exchanged for over 10000 educational technology and recreation products. For the community's convenience, drop-off sites have been set up at: each school's office.
Funding Factory currently has over 17,000 participating schools, childcare centers, libraries, and nonprofit organizations that are supported by 60,000 businesses, including banks, insurance agencies, hospitals, office supply stores, grocery stores, etc. Local companies interested in demonstrating their commitment to education and the environment can participate in the FundingFactory Business Support Program. By adopting Northmor Schools local businesses pledge their empty laser and inkjet cartridges. There is never a cost involved in participating, and free, prepaid shipping boxes are provided for the return of collected cartridges.
This program is part of Funding Factory. The mission of the FundingFactory is to enhance educational opportunities for students. Through an integrated online suite of safe, free, and effective fundraising programs, FundingFactory will meet its yearly goal of $100 million in new products for nationwide organizations.
